- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (optional for topping)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread raw almonds evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the sauce over the almonds. Stir well to ensure almonds are evenly coated.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Roast for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway, until almonds are fragrant and lightly golden brown.
- Remove from oven; allow to cool slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
