Ingredients:
- 8 ounces (225g) Cream Cheese, softened
- ½ cup (115g/1 stick) Unsalted Butter, softened
- 3-4 cups (360-480g) Powdered Sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) Vanilla Extract
- 2-4 tablespoons (30-60ml) Milk or Heavy Cream
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Ensure there are no lumps.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating on low speed after each addition.
- Add milk or heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until the icing reaches your desired consistency. It should be smooth, creamy, and easily spreadable.
- For easier spreading and a firmer icing, cover and chill for at least 30 minutes (optional).
