Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces (225g) Cream Cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (115g/1 stick) Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 3-4 cups (360-480g) Powdered Sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Vanilla Extract
  • 2-4 tablespoons (30-60ml) Milk or Heavy Cream
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Ensure there are no lumps.
  2. Beat in the vanilla extract and salt.
  3. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating on low speed after each addition.
  4. Add milk or heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until the icing reaches your desired consistency. It should be smooth, creamy, and easily spreadable.
  5. For easier spreading and a firmer icing, cover and chill for at least 30 minutes (optional).
