Ingredients:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup Jack Daniel
- s whiskey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan
- Add onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the saucepan.
- Stir well to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness, acidity, or heat as necessary.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let the sauce cool before transferring it to an airtight container for storage.
