- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream or marshmallows (optional)
- Additional ground cinnamon or chili powder (for dusting)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and water. Heat over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- Add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate to the liquid, whisking continuously until fully melted.
- Stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt. Adjust the sweetness and spice to your preference.
- Whisk the mixture until it is frothy and well combined. Remove from heat.
