Ingredients:

  • 1 (12-ounce) bag frozen broccoli florets (340 g)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (5 ml) [optional, for flavor]

Instructions:

  1. Fill a large pot with 1-2 inches of water and place the steamer basket inside.
  2. Remove the frozen broccoli from the bag.
  3. Cover the pot and bring the water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the broccoli in the steamer basket, cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Remove the broccoli from the steamer, drizzle with olive oil (if using), and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for a burst of freshness.
