Ingredients:
- ¼ cup (60 ml) Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Rice Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Water
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Sesame Oil
- ½ teaspoon (approx. 1 g) Sugar
- ¼ teaspoon (approx. 0.5 g) Chili Garlic Sauce
- Optional: 1 clove garlic, minced
- Optional: 1 teaspoon finely chopped green onion
- Optional: Toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, sesame oil, sugar, and chili garlic sauce.
- If using, add minced garlic and/or chopped green onion to the bowl.
- Whisk or stir with a fork until the sugar is completely dissolved and all ingredients are well combined.
- If using, toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly golden. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more chili garlic sauce for heat, a pinch of sugar for sweetness, or a splash of rice vinegar for tang.
- Pour the sauce into small dipping bowls and garnish with toasted sesame seeds (if using). Serve immediately. This Gyoza Dipping Sauce is the absolute best.
