Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60ml) Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz (30ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz (22.5ml) Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • ¼ tsp (0.5g) Activated Charcoal Powder (Food Grade)
  • Lime wedge and black sanding sugar, for rimming (optional)
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Rim (Optional): Moisten the rim of the cocktail glass with a lime wedge. Spread black sanding sugar on a small plate. Dip the rim of the glass into the sugar, coating evenly.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, Cointreau (or Triple Sec), and activated charcoal powder.
  3. Add Ice: Fill the shaker with ice.
  4. Shake Well: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
  5. Strain & Serve: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with a lime wedge (optional).
