Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) water or unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup (approx. 60g) fresh spinach, tightly packed, washed thoroughly
  • 1/2 medium frozen banana (approx. 60g)
  • 1/2 cup (approx. 75g) frozen mango chunks
  • 1/4 cup (approx. 35g) frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) lemon or lime juice (freshly squeezed!)

Instructions:

  1. Add the water or almond milk to the blender jar.
  2. Pack the spinach into the blender jar.
  3. Add the frozen banana, mango, pineapple, chia seeds (or flaxseeds), and lemon (or lime) juice to the blender.
  4. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until completely smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed.
  5. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more liquid. If it's too thin, add a few more frozen fruit chunks.
  6. Taste and add more fruit or lemon/lime juice to adjust sweetness and tartness to your preference.
  7. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately!
