Ingredients:
- 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (about 1/8 teaspoon)
Instructions:
- Sift the powdered sugar into the mixing bowl to remove any lumps.
- Add the milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the bowl with the sifted powdered sugar.
- Whisk until smooth and glossy, adding more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, if needed to reach desired consistency. The glaze should be thin enough to easily coat a doughnut but not so thin that it runs off completely. Aim for the consistency of single cream.
- Place the wire rack over the baking sheet.
- Dip each doughnut into the glaze, coating it completely.
- Place the glazed doughnuts on the wire rack to allow the excess glaze to drip off. This will create that beautiful, shiny finish.
- Allow the glaze to set for about 15-20 minutes before serving.
