Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces (225g) dried pasta, preferably rigatoni or penne
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 cup (30g) grated Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain well in a colander.
  2. While the pasta is still warm, transfer it to the large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Add the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss well until the pasta is evenly coated with the seasonings.
  3. Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  4. Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the pasta in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping the pasta halfway through for even cooking.
  5. Remove the pasta chips from the air fryer (or oven) and serve immediately. They're best when they're fresh and crispy!
