Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (60ml) strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua) or coffee extract (optional)
- 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon (12g) mascarpone cheese
- 1 tablespoon (13g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon (7g) cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions:
- Prepare the Coffee Soak: In a small bowl, combine the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (or extract, if using).
- Combine the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, yogurt, mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Layer in the Jar: Layer the oats, coffee soak, and yogurt mixture into your jar or container. Start with oats, then soak, then the yogurt mixture. You can repeat the layers for a more dramatic presentation.
- Refrigerate Overnight: Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. This allows the oats to soften and absorb all the delicious flavors.
- Dust and Serve: Before serving, give it a good stir (or leave the layers intact if you're feeling artistic) and dust generously with cocoa powder. Tuck in and enjoy!
