Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (15g) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (Optional)
  • 1 loaf (approximately 16-20 inches) French or Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 1/2 cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50g) shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Mix until well combined and creamy.
  2. Slice the bread lengthwise into two halves.
  3. Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over both cut sides of the bread.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic butter.
  5. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice into portions, and serve immediately.
