Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (15g) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (Optional)
- 1 loaf (approximately 16-20 inches) French or Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
- 1 1/2 cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Mix until well combined and creamy.
- Slice the bread lengthwise into two halves.
- Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over both cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic butter.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice into portions, and serve immediately.
