Ingredients:
- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal (75g)
- 3 cups Corn Chex cereal (75g)
- 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal (75g)
- 1 cup pretzel sticks, broken into smaller pieces (100g)
- 1 cup mixed nuts (peanuts, cashews, almonds), roughly chopped (120g)
- 1 cup small bagel chips, halved (50g)
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (85g)
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (45ml)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt (7.5g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (2.5g)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little kick!) (1.25g)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C, Gas Mark ½).
- In the large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzel sticks, mixed nuts, and bagel chips. Mix well.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Pour the wet ingredient mixture over the dry cereal mixture. Toss gently but thoroughly to ensure all the cereal is evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even browning.
- Remove from the oven and let the Chex Mix cool completely on the baking sheet. This will allow it to crisp up.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
