Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges)
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup olive oil
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Juice the oranges and limes, and measure out the juice into a mixing bowl or jar.
- Add the minced garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the juice.
- Whisk the mixture until well combined.
- Slowly stream in the olive oil while continuously whisking to emulsify the mixture.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Refrigerate the mojo criollo for at least 20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve or use as a marinade for meats or drizzling over cooked dishes.
