Ingredients:
- 6 cups (approx. 900g) fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons (15g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (100g) rolled oats (not instant)
- 3/4 cup (150g) packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (113g) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions:
- Peel and slice the peaches. In a large bowl, combine peaches with sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss gently to coat.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry blender, your fingers, or a food processor until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour the peach mixture into the prepared baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the crisp topping over the peaches.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
