Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5g) salt
- ½ cup (120ml) whole milk, warmed (about 110°F/43°C)
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed
- 3 tbsp (45g) ground cinnamon
- ⅓ cup (75g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp (30ml) milk
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk warm milk, melted butter, and eggs.
- Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a damp towel. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Spread softened butter over the dough after it has risen, then sprinkle with sugar mixture.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle (about 16x12 inches). Cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.
