Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (120ml) milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups (180g) powdered sugar
- 3-4 tablespoons milk (enough to reach desired consistency)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: sprinkles, chocolate chips, or other toppings
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don't overmix!
- Transfer batter to a piping bag or Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe batter into the donut cavities, filling each about ⅔ full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze, or drizzle the glaze over the donuts. Decorate with sprinkles, chocolate chips, or your favorite toppings.
- Let the glaze set slightly before serving. Enjoy!
