Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups (180g) powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tablespoons milk (enough to reach desired consistency)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: sprinkles, chocolate chips, or other toppings

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don't overmix!
  5. Transfer batter to a piping bag or Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe batter into the donut cavities, filling each about ⅔ full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  8. In a medium bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  9. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze, or drizzle the glaze over the donuts. Decorate with sprinkles, chocolate chips, or your favorite toppings.
  10. Let the glaze set slightly before serving. Enjoy!
