Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced thinly (use a mandoline slicer for even cuts)
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil (or olive oil spray)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 tbsp granulated sugar (optional; omit for a no-added-sugar version)

Instructions:

  1. Slice the bananas into thin rounds, about ⅛-inch thick. Pat the slices dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the banana slices with melted coconut oil. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and sugar (if using); toss to coat evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. Check often as cooking times can vary.
  4. Allow the chips to cool completely for maximum crispiness. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
